It’s simple, we buy your current home so you can buy one of ours.
We will look at most types of home, but we are unable to take some types of property. Complete one of our Part Exchange Application Forms and we’ll let you know if we will be able to proceed to the next step which is getting valuations done. You must be buying a home which is a minimum of 30% more in value than your current home.
We’ll instruct three local agents to carry out a valuation. Once we have their reports, we’ll discuss an offer with you if we want to make you an offer.
The amount we will offer you is subject to market conditions and the valuations from three local estate agents. Their valuations are based on achieving a sale within 4 weeks. Don’t forget you’ll be saving on estate agents fees, there’s no forward chain, you’re dealing directly with the developer and your chosen plot is being held for you.
Once we have agreed a price for your own home then we’ll instruct a local estate agent to market your home, with a view to legally completing at the same time as you do on your new home. We’ll also instruct our Solicitors and you should do the same, they will then begin the legal work for both parties.
Westerhill Homes will pay the estate agents fees as this is part of the Part Exchange scheme.
The usual reservation process applies, take a look at our Buyers Guide – Buying a New Home for more details.
